RJI calls the University of Missouri home. With that comes all the resources and strengths of a major research university.

The Reynolds Journalism Institute (RJI) makes its home at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo. In addition to taking advantage of the resources of the Missouri School of Journalism, RJI has all the advantages of a major research university close at hand.

That includes 19 schools and colleges, 271 degree programs crossing all disciplines, the largest library collection in the state, 28,000-plus students and membership in the prestigious Association of America Universities (as one of only 34 public U.S. universities to earn that honor). That also includes an intense focus on interdisciplinary research, a focus that suits RJI’s mission and methods perfectly.

Beyond the numbers, that means RJI has access to expertise in any field imaginable: science, art, business, communications, engineering and many more. RJI already has partnered with units around campus — engineering and business, for example — and will continue to do so as its scope expands.
