Karen Stockman joined the Reynolds Journalism Institute in April 2008 as a multimedia specialist.  Prior to that she served in a similar capacity with the University of Missouri’s College of Education where she designed Web graphics and trained others in the Content Management System.  She is proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Flash, Dreamweaver, and HTML.

Stockman graduated from the Missouri School of Journalism in 2006 with a degree in photojournalism.  Before completing her studies she served as a photo editor, staff photographer and reporter for the Columbia Missourian.  She has also completed internships with the Rural Missouri Magazine and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and Golden Key International Honour Society.
