Project Overview
How can you transform the culture, structure and routines of a newsroom and move it to a more participatory organization? How can you change what was print-centric into what is Web-centric? How can a new newsroom structure encourage and reward constant innovation?
These questions drove a project that started with the Columbia Missourian but has implications for newsrooms around the country. With RJI’s support, the Missourian’s newsroom editors are creating a blueprint they and other community newspapers can use to accommodate the new online publication realities.
